Keep the part
that matters.
Cut the silence off the front, the dead air off the end, or lift one section out of a longer recording. Set the region on a real waveform, add a fade at either edge, preview exactly what you will get, then download the clip.
one clean clip.
Trim where it starts and stops
Voice memos begin with fumbling, exports end with silence, and the useful part of a rehearsal recording is four minutes into a forty-minute file. Drag the start and end markers on the waveform and the selection shows exactly what survives — down to a tenth of a second.
Fade so the cut disappears
A hard cut in the middle of sound is audible as a click or a jolt. A second of fade in and a couple of seconds of fade out make the same clip feel deliberate — a ringtone, a podcast excerpt, a sample that starts and ends like it was always meant to be that length.
